Over the past six weeks, I’ve been quietly transforming. Not with titles or promotions, but with insight. With intention. With a renewed belief in what’s possible when we bring systems thinking and empathy together.
Taking part in the “Making More Health” course by Ashoka has been more than a learning experience. it’s been a recalibration of how I show up as a leader, a product strategist, and a human being.
What I Took Away
This course introduced me to real-world social entrepreneurs; people redesigning broken systems with courage and clarity. Their stories revealed something powerful:
True innovation doesn’t begin with technology. It begins with empathy.
From case studies to systems mapping, from community-driven models to co-creation strategies; I didn’t just learn how to talk about change. I learned how to design for it.
How This Shifts My Work at Ilara Health
As a Senior Product Operations professional in a fast-moving health tech environment, the toolkit I’ve gained is already finding its way into my day-to-day.
Here’s what I’m committed to next:
🔹 Proposing the integration of “Making More Health” into our internal learning tracks to empower teams with a changemaker mindset. 🔹 Embedding systems thinking into product ops processes so we don’t just optimize what exists; we question what should be. 🔹 Fostering a culture of innovation with impact—where product isn’t just functional, but transformational for underserved communities.
Why This Matters
Healthcare isn’t just a service. It’s a system of dignity, access, and trust. And if we’re not building with that awareness, then we’re just adding complexity to a problem that needs clarity.
This course reminded me: We don’t need more features. We need more humanity in our systems.
What’s Next
This wasn’t a one-time course. It was a call to action.
I'm stepping into the next phase of my career with a deeper commitment to social responsibility, impact-oriented design, and inclusive systems thinking.
If you're in healthcare, product, or systems leadership and care about creating change that lasts let’s connect, share ideas, and build something that matters.
